Our memory continuously records our daily life, creating a past that lives in our minds but that can still sometimes be woken up so that we process it again. Just an object or a place can bring up memories buried with time. Memories of a missing and beloved person turned on by everyday life.
This photographic work from 2002 is a series of analogue photos composed, on top, of old family photos and, on the bottom, of new ‘film photography’ ones. They were then personally hand-printed in a darkroom to create this narrative.
